The legendary Nogaike, where couples who have vowed to love each other are sure to be united forever. There, Shinji meets a beautiful guy named Junnosuke. Shinji becomes crazy about the mysterious Junnosuke. But Shinji already has a lover named Takashi. Takashi notices the situation and decides to look into Junnosuke, he found a surprising fact. Apparently Junnosuke is a spirit who had some regrets in the world and was unable to attain Buddhahood. This is because him and his lover were forced to seperate during his lifetime in the Meiji era. And that lover was Shinji's grandfather. Takashi wants to get rid of the ghost.

A family of three moves to a haunted house. The couple's 10-year-old son runs into the ghost of the house but isn't scared. He tells the ghost that since his father is a writer of horror novels he lost fear of horror stories. The ghost then confides in the boy that he is a lonely ghost on account of the modern world focused on so many material priorities. Child and ghost become best friends, playing together, telling stories and helping the ghost pay his rent by scaring people every month.

In 1980, a crack team of Taoists (garbed like ninjas!) successfully vanquish a mob of ghosts -- except for female demon Pinkish Red, who manages to escape. Six years later, Cici Shin (Charine Chan Kar-ling) and her cousin, Lily Li (Ann Bridgewater), open a boutique and need a mirror for their fitting room. The mall security guard finds one for them in the basement but, naturally, Pinkish Red resides inside it and, when Cici cleans the mirror’s surface, the ghost is able to enter back into the real world.

When her best friend turns to her for help, a tortured young girl shares her darkest, most powerful secret. This was a mistake.
