In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Virginia Woolf’s death, the streaming platform Montage is currently screening a showcase of feminist-themed films entitled “To Be a Woman.” The online showcase features 10 short films made by emerging female directors, curated by the Shanghai-based independent filmmaker, curator, and critic Lǚ Yáo 吕遥. Her selection has brought out a rich panorama of stories about women’s experiences and lives in modern China. According to Montage’s page for the program, the films are linked by feminist icon Simone de Beauvoir’s framework of the five stages of life: Childhood, Adolescence, Youth, Middle Age, and Old Age.

CBC Television presents Canada's only TV magazine program featuring short films by directors across the country. A panel of professional filmmakers, actors and film critics will screen selected films and choose the winner, with the help of audience votes. The winning director will receive a production deal and a film equipment rental package for a next film, as well as a cash prize.

The Click List: Best in Short Film is an anthology series of recent LGBT-themed short film programming on Logo. The series premiered on the channel on March 2, 2006. Each episode is one hour in length and comprises 2 to 5 short films. When the short films air on the channel, they become available to stream on Logo's website. Viewers are then able to rate the films, and the top rated films air in the finale episode. Some of the short films also became available for streaming on mobile carriers as well as for download on sites such as iTunes, AOL, and Amazon. Beginning with Season 2, most of the short films were introduced by the filmmaker, and at the end of the film, a taped closing statement aired during the credits. Additional information on the filmmaker also air during the credits. Several special editions centered around a theme or genre have also aired. These include a "Horror Edition," "Fantasy Edition," and a "NewFest Edition."

Peter Potamus is an animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera. The main segment featuring Peter Potamus and his diminutive sidekick So-So the monkey. Peter is big, purple, and friendly, dressed in a safari jacket and hat.
