Uma Rosa com Amor is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by SBT from March 1 to August 16, 2010. It is a remake of the 1972 telenovela of the same name originally produced by TV Globo, created by Vicente Sesso. Adapted by Tiago Santiago, with collaboration from Renata Dias Gomes, Miguel Paiva, Maria Cláudia Oliveira, and Solange Castro Neves, and directed by Del Rangel and Luiz Antônio Piá, the telenovela stars Carla Marins, Cláudio Lins, Jussara Freire, Edney Giovenazzi, and Betty Faria. The story follows Serafina Rosa Petroni, a humble and romantic secretary who dreams of finding true love. After entering into a marriage of convenience with Claude Antoine, a French businessman, to help him solve his problems with Brazilian bureaucracy, the two begin a complicated relationship. Between misunderstandings, family conflicts, secrets, and differences in social background, they discover that a relationship built on an agreement can turn into genuine love.

Júlia and Pedro suffer from the cruelty of their grandmother, Bia Falcão. Júlia runs the luxurious Belíssima factory and falls in love with Nikos, a friend of her sister-in-law Vitória.

The former expert in fireworks, José Clementino gets a job as a bricklayer in the construction of a magnificent shopping center, one of the many works carried out by the construction engineer, César Toledo. During the feast of the ridge, where engineers and workers gather to celebrate the laying of the slab work, Clementino's wife flirts with several men. At one point, when he gives for the missing woman, Mason goes looking for her and is in a far corner of the building having sex with two men. Overcome with rage, Clementino kills his wife and one of the men paddle strokes. The family hears the screams and Toledo contains Clementino, with the help of a group of workers. Shocked by the violence of the employee, the employer called the police, and even later, an indictment against him at trial. His testimony is crucial to the conviction of Clementino, to discover their terrible crimes and audacious, which is a court suspicious.

The show features Lucas Silva e Silva, a boy who earns a recorder from his paternal grandfather, Orlando, at the age of 10. Amid the typical problems of moving from childhood to adolescence, Lucas creates stories on the tape recorder from how he would like things to be. He lives at his grandfather's house with his parents, Rogerio, a teacher who works out for three jobs and Carolina, who works in a boutique; the older sister, Juliana; and maid Rosa, who dates Marcelo and talks to broadcaster Ney Nunes on her radio.

The irreverent Dulcinéa struggles to keep her revue theater, *Mambembe*, afloat; the building itself belongs to the traditional Maldonado family. The patriarch, Salvador Maldonado—a conservative man—keeps a tight rein on the clan, maintaining control over both the business and his children: Joana, an elegant and snobbish woman who is the staunchest defender of the views held by Pops, as the children call him; Téo, who has always silently submitted to the old man's high-handedness; Walter, dominated by his older sister and his father's favorite; and Lalucha, the youngest, a film student who challenges the status quo and rebels against the family's stuffy conservatism.
