Four nights a week, Eric welcomes a fascinating mix of athletes, politicians, famous Flemish people and ordinary people with a special story to talk to them live about everything that really matters. But Bar Goens is more than just talking. A café thrives on atmosphere, which is why there is also an outdoor stage. Anything can happen there: from live music and surprising acts to unexpected stunts or spontaneous interventions that give the show that little bit extra. The documentary tells the story of Salah Adbeslam, from his childhood years in a warm nest in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, about his radicalization, to his part in the bloody terror attack five years ago. Step by step, documentary maker Eric Goens takes the viewers into the subcutaneous world where jihadist leaders recruit petty criminals for their holy war. Salah Abdeslam was only one of them, but he became the face of evil.

Eric Goens returns with well-known Flemish people such as Bart Peeters, Alexander De Croo, Nora Gharib, Alex Agnew, Andy Peelman and Julie Van den Steen to the school of their childhood. From the school desks of their youth he goes in search of their life story. What big and small stories from their school days have stuck? Which classmate secretly started walking with their attention? And have they become who they hoped to become?
