It follows 16-year-old Erik, who is used to violence both at home and in the schoolyard. After being expelled from his school in Stockholm due to his violent behavior, he is transferred to the boarding school Stjernsberg. It is his last chance to continue his education and break with his previous life, but at Stjernsberg, the violence is worse than at home. While there, he also engages in a forbidden love relationship with Marja, a member of the kitchen staff.

22-year-old Sigrid - nicknamed Sigge - and her group of friends are confronted with the unexpected demands of adulthood as they attempt to come to terms with their own identities, their passions, and the past.

As a chain of horrific and inexplicable events start to unfold in their small town on the northern hemisphere, an ensemble of high school students will be forced to face their darkest fears in order to overcome a supernatural force feeding on chaos and the misery of mankind.
