1812. Lieutenant Grigory Rylsky must deliver secret documents to Kutuzov. As soon as they reach the commander, the Russian army will begin its offensive. But on the way to headquarters, the lieutenant catches sight of a village girl and suddenly finds himself in the future, in the apartment of a young scientist, Dmitry Zhuravlev, and his wife, Katya, who are on the verge of divorce. While trying to return Gusar to the past, the time machine breaks down, and the lieutenant is forced to remain in the 21st century until the scientist repairs the machine.

Olga brings up two children from different marriages, cares about her alcoholic father and tries to adjust her personal life. Olga's father, Yuri Gennadievich, a former football player, drinks hard and constantly lies, which often leads to scrape. And sister Lena is trying to live at the expense of men - mostly married. Eternally saving relatives from troubles, Olga lives a strange life and rarely thinks of herself until Grisha, a young and positive driver of the “Sable” hearse, falls in love with her.

An anonymous veteran arrives by boat to a small town being terrorized by a corrupt police force. Circumstances result in the police force led by its senior officer chasing the veteran into the forest outside of town. Armed only with his knife and the items he finds in derelict buildings he uses his special forces training to defeat the well armed but undisciplined police searching for him.

As a child, Liza Zaretskaya saw her parents die. She couldn't speak for two years after that and learned to hear people's thoughts. Liza grew up and became a therapist. Her daughter Dasha inherited her gift. Dasha has just graduated from school and wants to study psychology. Albert Kling, a friend of Liza's, is doing complex psychological research and performs tests on Dasha, much to Liza's displeasure. Suddenly Dasha's classmate Ksenya, who was also Liza's patient, goes missing. Police Captain Mikhail Zhikharev asks Liza and Dasha to help his investigation. Dasha's boyfriend Mitya, Kling's assistant joins the search. But Dasha goes missing too.
