On Marriage focuses on portraying all those struggles that couples encounter when they give up themselves to fulfill their marriage. In this anthology series, each individual episode explores varying meanings of marriage from five unique perspectives.

Adapted from the novel by author Wu Hsiao-Le, the series consists of five independent stories about parenting, as well as children's pressures of growing up, when faced with the tragic consequences of social pressure, parental oppression and family dysfunction. Each story is told in two parts in this ten-part series.

Xiong Ge starts a new life following the disappearance of her sons and ex-husband. She opens a hostel called The X-Dormitory, in which she treats her tenants like her family. When Room 206 mysteriously appears out of no where and out walks her ex-husband, she gets a terrible feeling in her gut that something bad is about to happen.

A group of high school girls is Copper Dimension's last defense against the dark forces. They signed a contract with Xiong Ya, a guardian of light, to protect the innocent with their lives in exchange for having one wish come true. When one of their own is killed in school, their hunt for the devils in human skin brings them face to face with their own inner demon. They soon discover they are not above the influence of evil.

In this late night corner of the city, a small restaurant chef brings warmth to his customers through his dishes. Thus, diners come to this late night stop to eat food and untie the knots in their hearts by having the difficulties encountered in their lives resolved.

It was produced by Comic Ritz International Production with Chai Zhi Ping as producer and directed by Lin He Long. The series was first broadcast in Taiwan on free-to-air Chinese Television System from May 16 to August 15, 2010 every Sunday at 22:00-23:00. On October 18 then "Purple Rose" aired after was not approved by the mainland side quasi broadcast license late, and eventually replaced by the "Sweetheart", "starlight fairy".
