Paz is a self-centered influencer who arrives in the town of Água-Marinha, where she clashes with a local activist and is “canceled” for offensive insults. One hundred years earlier, in 1922, Cecília is facing a forced marriage — a life she doesn't want — in Água-Marinha after her parents’ death. Seven friends who met in their youth at an English course meet again 25 years later; Lara, Taís, Helena, Adriana, Renée, Natália and Carol, each of them has a different personality and origin, but they share a deep affection.

Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.
