1972. Once hearing the songs of Robertino Loretti, a 12-year-old schoolboy from Lyubertsy Yura also begins to sing. At first, he is shy about this, because singing, according to his peers and some adults, is not a man's occupation at all. But, thanks to the mentorship of a young music teacher Varvara, Yura develops her talent and decides to audition for the Pavlov Choir. General Brusnitsyn, saving his nephew Misha from prison, entrusts him with leading a team of ordinary guys selected for a flight to the moon—Team B.
