What appeared before Chizuru were Rakshasa, who was engaged in a horrific work that could not be thought of as a human being, and Shinsengumi soldiers led by Toshizo Hijikata. The Shinsengumi slashes Rakshasa in an instant. However, Chizuru's father, Tsunado, had an inseparable connection with both Rakshasa and the Shinsengumi. Eventually, Chizuru puts himself in the Shinsengumi and searches for his father.

Reiko Himekawa is just 27-years-old, but she has already received a promotion to become an assistant police inspector. She leads the 10th murder investigation team at the First Investigation Division of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Reiko Himekawa is an excellent detective and deals with many difficult cases. She works with Tamotsu Ishikura, Kohei Yuda and Shinji Otsuka on her team. The team then gets Kazuo Kikuta as a new member. Kazuo Kikuta is a detective who does not talk much, but looks to do the right thing.

Kanoko Saho is fired from her father's company, Fawn. She worked hard in the manufracturing world but was fired regardless. In the background is the ploy of person called a "headhunter". Watari Kaori, who calls herself a headhunter, appears in front of Saho. As a result, Saho begins working at the same headhunting company, "Forteflows", as Watari. Saho works confronting clients while a dark cloud begins to drift over Fawn.

Kubota owes his position as main newscaster on the news programme to the support of his wife of six years too. But why does Hikari devote herself completely to him? The certain characteristic that Kubota’s wife possesses is an enigma, and a shocking development awaits him.

Daimon Michiko is a 37-year-old freelance surgeon who is part of a questionable “doctor placement service” that has her wander from hospital to hospital. The harsh environment at the hospitals led many doctors to retire from their positions, forcing hospitals to make use of said program to fill the empty spots at least temporary. However, Michiko doesn’t look like a doctor at all with her flashy clothes and eccentric attitude. In the first episode she raises objections to a certain operation which is planned to be done by the head of a hospital who hasn’t performed an operation for a very long time. This causes Michiko to incur odium at the hospital, however, everyone becomes frozen when Michiko points out the outdated skills of the director. She also holds a scrupulous compliance when it comes to her working hours, never does any unnecessary chores that don’t require a medical license, and couldn’t care less about the power struggles within the hospitals. Nobody knows how she acquired such a top-level skill that allows her to claim exorbitant sums as reward, but her private life is an even greater mystery to everyone around her. Tanaka plays a rookie surgeon, Uchida an anesthetist, Kishibe the head of the placement service, and Ito the head of the surgical department of this institution.

The 82nd NHK Asadora is Gegege no Nyobo. The story is based on a 2008 autobiography by Mura Nunoe, the wife of Gegege no Kitaro mangaka Mizuki Shigeru. The story revolves around the life of the married couple, told from the perspective of Mura. --Tokyograph

The new investigation team uses DNA analysis and the latest in forensics science to investigate cold cases as well as cases suspected to involve missing persons.

Tokura Wataru works in Tokyo for a TV shopping program. After getting on the bad side of the show's charismatic presenter, "Antarctic Ice", he gets transferred to a rural call center. Waiting for him is Aoyama Kyoko, nicknamed the "queen of complaints" for her expert ability at handling unsatisfied customers. Unsettled by this call center that seems to have no regard for the rules, he begins working on a plan to return to the main office in Tokyo.
