The Oblongs are not so much dysfunctional as slightly nonfunctional. Living next to a polluted swamp has left them with the occasional missing limb or mysterious growth, but through it all, this close-knit family sticks together.Sometimes literally.

Cha Yu-ri died in an accident five years ago, leaving her husband Cho Gang-hwa to raise their daughter by himself. She becomes a ghost and watches over them until one fateful day she is brought back to life by the deities and told she can become human again if she returns to her place in 49 days. Though her husband has remarried, so she must decide between her or his happiness as she slowly re-integrates back into her old lifestyle.

As the family's lives unfold in four short stories each week, they try to savor these little pieces of time that flash by but stay with you forever, because these moments add up to what life's all about.
