Malhação is a Brazilian television series for the teenage audience. The soap started in 1995, and was set in a fictional Gym Club called Malhação on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the location varied slightly. Although the name of the soap remains the same, it is now set in the Múltipla Escolha High School.

When Shen Qing Mei's brother's accidentally disappeared, she disguised herself as a man and became a magistrate in his stead. Unbeknownst to her, this led to a murder. The first assassin in the jungle, "Bloodless", is ordered to assassinate Shen Qing Mei, but he is not good at it. After losing his memory, he is taken as Xie Lin Zhou, a scholar who stays by Shen Qing Mei's side and becomes a master. Shen Qing Mei does not know Xie Lin Zhou's identity as an assassin but only wants to help him recover his memory. So a love story between a killer and a target, a master and a magistrate, unfolds.
