Tokyo Friends is a Japanese television drama released on June 3, 2005. Unlike many other dramas, it was never aired on TV but released as a set of 3 DVDs. Volumes one and two contain the first 4 episodes while volume three contains the last episode. Each episode is approximately 70 minutes. The Tokyo Friends Premium Box was also released which includes all 5 episodes, a bonus DVD, and 12 postcards. Although this is a very typical Tokyo-story and was never aired on TV, it was quite successful probably because it was Ai Otsuka's debut as an actress.

A chef's assistant helps her boss regain one year's worth of memories. Throughout the process, they come to understand, help and love each other. An Ning is a cook who can see other people's memories. When her boss Long Haoqian mysteriously loses memories from one year of his life, she starts to help him find the missing pieces. Initially at odds with each other, a series of amusing events bring them closer together.

Yuichi Yamada works as a magazine editor. He has recently transferred to Kyoto from Tokyo. In Kyoto, he comes across a French couple who are lost. Yuichi Yamada doesn't speak French and ask for help from nearby tobacco shop owner Yoriko Shindo. Yoriko Shindo speaks French fluently and she is able to help the couple. Meanwhile, Yuichi Yamada takes an interest in Yoriko Shindo.

Peng, an emergency room resident and Tantawan have been in love for 15 years. Tantawan, who owns magical power, starts to doubt whether Peng still loves her. One day, they met a traffic accident and Tantawan is seriously injured. When she wakes up, she loses all her memories. Unbeknownst to her, the truth about the accident was hidden.

While on the run for his life, a young man discovers that the best place to lie low is in a village of widows — disguised as a woman.
