Isaku just wants to live a normal life. But as the granddaughter of a yakuza boss, that’s a pretty tall order. For years, it’s been difficult for Isaku to make friends and find love. So, she decides to enroll in a high school far from her hometown in hopes of a fresh start. But her plans take an unexpected turn when a worried member of the yakuza, Keiya, enrolls in the same school to protect her.

Laughing in the Wind is a 2001 Chinese television series produced by Zhang Jizhong, starring Li Yapeng and Xu Qing in the leading roles. The series is an adaptation of Louis Cha's novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer. It was first broadcast on CCTV in China in 2001.

Katorse is a television primetime series that aired on ABS-CBN from August 24, 2009 to January 8, 2010. It tells the story of a simple small-town girl who fell in love with a childhood friend who later fathers a child with her. It is loosely based on a 1981 film of the same name starring Dina Bonnevie, Gabby Concepcion and Alfie Anido.
