TRANSIENCE tells the story of Tom and George, a couple who have been together for many years, but have reached a crossroads in their relationship. George is moving ahead with a successful professional life, while Tom is still trying to enjoy life, as if he were in his 20's, staying out late, partying hard. Will the party ever end for Tom? Will he commit to George fully?

Transience is about a love that blooms quickly and burns brightly. How it stirs the soul and quickens the heart. Like a flame, it flickers and dances, illuminating the darkness, warming the cold. It is a love that knows no bounds, that lives and dies in the same breath. Without games or pretense you lay yourself bare in hope of acceptance. A journey of exploration and discovery. And yet, as quickly as it begins, a transient romance can end just as suddenly. An opening act for the melancholy symphony. But even in its brevity, it can leave a lasting impact on our souls. We become both student and teacher, we hold and feel held, we lean fearlessly into time’s consequence. Let us reel in its beauty and it struggles, its joys and its pains. As we somersault through life, let’s not forget that to lose a connection it must first be found.

A story of falling out of love told from two different instances in time, the beginning, and end.

A 2D traditionally animated short film about gender identity, post-apocalyptic purgatorial desertscapes, and an imp that yells at you.

An autobiographical short, intercut with personal phone calls and images, about a filmmaker trying to navigate their newly understood gender identity, while trying to make a coming-of-age movie.

At the end of 2013, Cheer Chen released the last album in her Flower trilogy. Titled Songs Of Transience, the singer-songwriter's sixth album features her signature poetic style and introspective looks at humanity, philosophy and life. Both in support of the Flower trilogy and in celebration of the 15th anniversary of her debut, Cheer then embarked on a pan-Asian tour, and her artful, musically wondrous performance has been captured on this home video release.

Captured over three years, this black-and-white pictorial study portrays life under the threat of demolition at the Kopaszi dam.

A documentary about time.

Spanning over one thousand years, and three parallel stories, The Fountain is a story of love, death, spirituality, and the fragility of our existence in this world.

Small town girl Marcy comes to LA with stars in her eyes, thinking she can make it big on Search for a Star. Instead, with little money and no friends, she finds herself sleeping in her car. Things dramatically change when she meets Rose, living in a cardboard box, and Mort, a wheelchair-bound Gulf War veteran. After first fighting over territory, these three lost souls bond in friendship, protecting and supporting each other in a story that is at once profoundly funny, heart-warming and poignant.

A young Belgian woman returns to Japan to gain insight and find peace in her past relationship with her Japanese ex-lover. She travels around Japan, observing nature as the seasons change. She is guided by the richness of the Japanese vocabulary, which has many words to describe the transience of nature and emotions that have no equivalent in Dutch or English. If she can accept this transience, she will be able to understand what happened to their love.

An experimental meditation on the pervasive nature of transience.

Shot entirely on a webcam and guided by the Imperfect Cinema philosophy, this film captures the drunken drift of a man reaching for connection in a cold, indifferent city. What unfolds is either a dream, a dying vision, or both. Then — reality returns with a quiet whimper. Life moves on. Raw, lo-fi, and unapologetically rough, this is a meditation on how easily the world forgets. Meaning is left open; interpretation belongs to the viewer.
