Composed in 1888 by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Scheherazade is one of the most popular works in the Russian repertoire. Under the baton of Aziz Shokhakimov the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg performs this symphonic suite inspired by the Arabian Nights, inviting us on an enchanting journey to the Orient.

Conducted by Aziz Shokhakimov, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg presents a rare work by Camille Saint-Saëns: the Oratorio de Noël. Composed in 1858 when the composer was just 23 years old, this cantata-like work is rarely performed on stage, making its performance quite unprecedented.

To inaugurate the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra's 2023-2024 season, conductor Aziz Shokhakimov invites international pianist and soloist Kirill Gerstein for a special evening. The programme includes Franz Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 2, a romantic work dotted with octaves, thirds, leaps and glissandi.

The university, founded in 1941, is infamous for the human experiments performed on KZ prisoners by the professors of the medical faculty. Staying up day and night and occupying a hairdressing salon at 57 Bd de Strasbourg in Paris, eighteen undocumented workers are on strike since May 22, 2014, protesting against human trafficking and the local mafia.

Madeleine is with her lover, Jean-Paul, when her husband arrives home and catches the two together. Madeleine kills her husband and tells Jean-Paul to flee before the police arrive. After Jean-Paul drives away, he picks up a hitchhiker. When the car, stolen by the hitchhiker, explodes, police believe the dead hitchhiker is Jean-Paul. Madeleine takes up with Jean-Paul's brother, Bastien, while Jean-Paul, arriving in Strasbourg, is mistaken for the heir to a fortune. The detective on the case spends more time writing crime novels than investigating real-life crimes.
