The reflections of a young woman on her balcony, shaking her laundry. The private thoughts of this woman are drowned in her own delirium, which is accentuated and framed by the film’s repetitive imagery. The camera slowly zooms out to reveal the urban décor in which the film was made. The anonymous facades of the surrounding apartment blocks push us to imagine that behind each one of these buildings hides a collection of unique lifestyles and thoughts. The artist brings this to light through a strange and almost sad sense of humor.

This is a short documentary featurette where Fassbinder superstar turned cult filmmaker Ulli Lommel discusses his directorial debut, Haytabo starring Eddie Constantine (Alphaville). Aside from featuring Lommel talking about the many iconic stars of the film, which include Fassbinder, Constantine, counterculture figure Rainer Langhans, and counterculture sex icon Uschi Obermaier, the short doc features original behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the film.

Takao, who is training to become a shoemaker, skipped school and is sketching shoes in a Japanese-style garden. He meets a mysterious woman, Yukino, who is older than him. She intends to end her life as well, but she meets Fujino Asagami, a blind classmate with a traumatic past. Though the two girls don't have much in common, Asagami reminds Miyazuki of her lost friend and helps her understand her pain. Two months later, Mikiya elects to celebrate New Year's with Shiki instead of his family, which makes his sister Azaka very upset, leading to her spending the holiday with her school friends. As the snow begins to fall, Mikiya reflects on what he wishes for most of all: that Shiki's life be filled with happiness.

The story starts following an incident: a young girl jumps from the top of a building. The image provokes a certain dread, as the girl appears to have been a corpse even before she jumped. The case is dismissed, yet more and more of these suicides occur, and all from the same building. Thus began the rumour, that a ghost inhabited the rooftop of the building.
