Sixteen years ago, a mysterious masked ninja unleashes a powerful creature known as the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox on the Hidden Leaf Village Konoha, killing many people. In response, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze and his wife Kushina Uzumaki, the Demon Fox's living prison or Jinchūriki, manage to seal the creature inside their newborn son Naruto Uzumaki. With the Tailed Beast sealed, things continued as normal. However, in the present day, peace ended when a group of ninja called the Akatsuki attack Konoha under the guidance of Tobi, the mysterious masked man behind Fox's rampage years ago who intends on executing his plan to rule the world by shrouding it in illusions.

"Road Movie" takes us on a bus trip through Yerevan. The basis of it is not trivial, according to Nora Martiroyan's proposal. The idea of displacement reveals the passage of time that unfolds in loops. Is it an exodus, a pilgrimage, or simply a tourist trip? We don't exactly know where we are. The music, the atmosphere, the faces give us a few indications that nevertheless remain very vague. We are solicited by the experience of the journey. A video documentation of performance done in Skagastrond, Iceland’s only restaurant, Grill 66. The restaurant’s menu are hamburgers and pizzas all named after cities and towns along the famous U.S. Route 66, which was then very important road for the American industry as well as road trips. Inspired by the Americanization found in a remote fishing village, Araki coordinated a one-night event at the end of his three-month filmmaking residency stay, where four non-Americans attempt to consume the entire 25-piece menu in one sitting, hence achieving the fastest road trip ever made from Chicago (bacon burger) to Hollywood (beef steak sandwich). A DVD of this video is currently archived in the village’s library, as the only record of eating competition that has ever taken place in the history of Skagastrond.
