Peter Nestler, an important German filmmaker with an extensive filmography, agrees with Chilean filmmaker Rodrigo Gonçalves, exiled in Sweden, to make a documentary on PIDEE (Protection of Children Harmed by the State of Emergency) and on FASIC, a Catholic organisation for the defence of human rights. It is one of the first clandestine films to be made during the period of the dictatorship, and provides an insight into the state of repression in which the population was living. The filmmakers entered the country in 1982 and clandestinely shot several films in the country. Among the testimonies is an interview with the widow of Hugo Araya, "El Salvaje", filmmaker and photographer assassinated on 11 September 1973. The film's credits list "Sergio Bustamante" as co-director, a fictitious name invented by Gonçalves because he was still in exile. "How oppression strikes " won the FIPRECI prize at the Oberhausen Festival, Germany, in 1983.

A galvanising documentary about the organised resistance of a group of students barricaded at the Takasaki City University of Economics. The university student struggles at the end of the 1960s in Japan were the culmination of over a decade of protests, social dissent and political unrest. All this gave energy to the student movement, which displayed original and sustained forms of organisation and resistance against the government and which would spread to universities all over the country. Together with the filmmakers of the recently formed collective Jieiso, Ogawa Shinsuke joined a group of students barricading themselves inside the Takasaki City University of Economics. Shot over the course of a year, this film documents the nature of the political discussion and organisation as well as the fierce debates going on among the students and their violent struggles with the authorities. "As lockdown continues, and fear of the pandemic gives way to the rage of the political uprising, it’s become crucial to read this moment from a perspective of racial inequality and capitalist fascist oppression. May we not forget but actually do the work of reckoning with the still uncounted, of the crimes of the endless war we are still in.”
