As promised, this is the second in Clive's series of Stories from the Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area. Clive's work with Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts leads him to spend a lot of time researching the history and heritage of that area. Some of the stories he finds find their way into his performances by way of songs paired with engaging narrations. That's what you'll find in Volume 2. The Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area, created by an act of Congress in 2006, exists to tell the stories of Utah's pioneers - Mormons, Indigenous Peoples, and all others - in Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane Counties. This volume's stories are mainly from Sevier and Kane counties. But stories know no boundaries, and you'll find protagonists from these stories in other areas and other stories. And similar stories and found throughout Utah. The human experience is remarkably intertwined and remarkably similar. Here's to your story!

A promise to research his grandparents lives for a family reunion program changed the course of the Clive Romney's life, and started him on a story telling career. Family stories led to Utah pioneer stories and that led to the founding of Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts, through which Clive encourages artists in all disciplines to use their art to tell the stories of Utah's settlement, which was unlike any in the world. The Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area (MPNHA), created by an act of Congress in 2006, exists to tell the stories of Utah's pioneers - Mormons, Indigenous Peoples, and all others - in Sanpete, Sevier, Piute, Wayne, Garfield and Kane Counties. Clive's involvement with and love of the MPNHA led him to focus his first storytelling DVD on stories from that area, though his interest extends to the entire state of Utah. There are thousands more stories to tell from the MPNHA alone. Volume One is only the beginning.
