The story unfolds in the turbulent period in the history of Japan, where two imperial courts exist. Kusunoki Masatsura, a warlord of the Southern Court, knows the court is approaching its downfall while spending his days fighting against the Northern Court along with his younger brothers: Masatoki and Masanori. Along the way Masatsura meets Ben no Naishi and the two fall in love. The full-blown cherry blossom season arrives, and with a decisive battle looming Masatsura wonders what he is fighting for. Amidst a storm of cherry blossoms, Masatsura follows the path he has chosen… "Dream Chaser" is one who chases their dreams. Sorrow, agony, bitterness, love, beauty, radiance. Sometimes a sharp pain within one's heart. Sometimes one should aim at the light that will lead one into the future. In the outskirts of this world, surrounded by strangers, a lone man feels SAUDADE. These mindscapes blend with elements of poetic scenery, and singing and dancing to a variety of music, to display the charm of Sena Jun: the noble-mindedness of proud solitude, tender kindness, and sometimes a brief glimpse of forlorn fragility, in contrast to which her vigorous strength and dynamism overflows even more vividly.

The man known as Silver fights with demons from his past without knowning what they are. He lost his memory during some traumatic event, and was taken in by Ray. He now works with Ray to kill corrupt politicians and other powerful men. However, he has a very nihilistic outlook, believing he has nothing to live for, no matter how much Ray argues with him.

Zeami perfected the performing art of Noh. He had two sons, Motomasa and Motoshige, who were destined to inherit the Kanze school. Driven by ambition as Noh actors and entangled in a forbidden love with a woman connected to the Southern Court, their destinies unfold dramatically.
