"Memorial" is an experimental fantasia that features nautical, cardiac and photographic imagery as the filmmakers' way of paying tribute to their late father.

On the third day of the American bombardment of Baghdad in 1991, particularly targeting the Republic Bridge in the city's heart, an unusual scene unfolded. A dead cow lay on one of the fallen sections of the bridge—an uncommon sight in central Baghdad. Almost two decades later, I contemplate the tragic circumstances leading to her demise, imagining her futile attempts to jump across in a desperate bid to reach the other side.
