The Metaphor That Became a Room is a psychological drama exploring identity, communication, and the struggle for self-understanding. Divided into two parts, the film first delves into the protagonist’s frustration with the urge to persuade others, realizing that over-explaining only distorts meaning. A note from the past echoes a hard truth: “Someone’s unwillingness to understand will always outweigh your effort.” In A Symphony of Unfinished Selves, the narrative shifts inward, revealing the protagonist’s fractured identity. Trapped in a metaphorical room built from illusions and contradictions, he reflects on his dual persona—the social facade and the hidden, lost self. The film questions how we see ourselves versus how others see us and whether true self-recognition is possible. Through minimalist dialogue and layered symbolism, the film captures the silent tension between who we are, who we appear to be, and who we long to become.

Ambitious Madleen and carefree creative spirit Hugo embark on a symbolic journey up the mountain of success, exposing the tension between societal pressure and self-fulfillment. While Madleen strives to meet society’s expectations and achieve a high-status career, Hugo chooses to move through life at his own pace, guided by creativity rather than external expectations. The film invites the audience to reflect on the choices young adults face in a success-driven society and to question the decisions we make and the values we prioritize in life.

AKIN examines the tension between collective synchronicity and the hidden inner reality of the individual. One protagonist describes her overwhelming feelings, while three other figures appear as aesthetic mirrors of her inner states. In a world that demands perfection and smooth functioning, everyday life continues like a mechanical system even when the inside has long overflowed. The bodies increasingly come under pressure until the structure discharges in synchronous, yet faulty movements. The encounter with an antagonist opens a moment of silent perception and raises the question of whose emotions are actually at work in the space. AKIN reveals a raw, deeply human choreography between adaptation and authentic expression.
