In 1994, a young family of Bosnian refugees find themselves in a little Dutch village after receiving their residence permit. Absurd situations occur as they attempt to turn this new world into their home.

Lalakis gladly accepts and goes to Rome to bring them back, but he gets mixed up with a gang of antiquities smugglers, who follow him to Greece. However, he manages to neutralize them and subsequently becomes wealthy from the imported cosmetics.

The film tells the story of journalistic morality in an analytical way. In this sense, the journalist must have a clear conscience and morality. He must find the answer to the question: "What is the meaning of life and what have I been able to do for people?" The protagonist of the film, Zaur is a radio journalist.
