Gorky's play raises themes of the Russian intelligentsia's struggles and search for the meaning of life. The characters argue a lot, quarrel, tease each other, trying to change, if not their lives, then at least their outlook on it.

In prison, they meet an inventor who has built a flying machine that runs not on fuel but the power of love.

Jag Mandir is a quiet and often overlooked film in the vast oeuvre of Werner Herzog. About the artist Ian Hellström (1925-2012) with his own museum. A tour of Ian's house is an adventure in art, antiques, skulls and dolls, all in perfect balance.
