Referring to the heir-apparent to the French throne, Dauphin 007 is a short animation which draws on elements and narratives surrounding the French Revolution, chronicling a would-be king lion who meets an untimely demise via a MRI machine/guillotine.

The film deals with an imaginary journey. The visionmresulting from the desire to view an object while grasping the "workings of nature" is exposed as being itself riddled with clichees. The film, as artistic medium par excellence, offers the opportunity of reflecting on this longing in a way that is partly critical, partly also indulging in personal obsessions.
