Filmed live for the Olympic Cultural Program in Moscow in 1980, this breathtaking performance of folk dancing features the famed Moiseyev Dance Company. Established in 1937 by choreographer Igor Moiseyev, the troupe's mission is to reinvigorate traditional national dances with modern creativity and professional skill. Dance segments include "Summer Suite," "Kazan Tartar Dance," "The Skating Rink" and "Young Polianka Dance."

In the autumn of 1824, composer Francis Johnson was commissioned to create new dances for the Marquis de Lafayette’s 1824–1825 tour of America as 'Guest of the Nation'. The New York Baroque Dance Company celebrates this anniversary by reconstructing and performing Francis Johnson’s 'New Cotillions; in this programme led by Julia Bengtsson and dance researcher Alan Jones. This research project was supported by France’s Centre National de la Danse.

Emily arrives in Miami with aspirations to become a professional dancer. She sparks with Sean, the leader of a dance crew whose neighborhood is threatened by Emily's father's development plans.
