A young girl fights relentlessly to save her drug-addicted mother from a dangerous underworld as the Los Angeles Police Department fights to destroy that world.

An American film producer comes to Venezuela to film a movie called "Suddenly, the movie." He hires a Venezuelan director to direct the film that is shot in the Amazon jungle. As the conditions are extreme, the producer agrees that the team move to Caracas to continue filming there recreating the jungle in the city. A series of unusual and strange situations happen on the film set.

URBAN STORIES is a contemporary dramatic feature film that follows several Immigrants of different nationalities as they adapt to life in Miami. The stories unfold through stylistic camera work that interrelates the eight vignettes, pushing the boundaries of independent cinema.

Eleven-year-old petty criminal Maroa lives with her violent grandmother Brigida in Caracas. After her boyfriend Carlos is involved in a shooting, Maroa is arrested and sent to a school where Joaquin conducts the youth orchestra, and he asks the naturally talented Maroa to join. Days now revolve around the classes that Joaquin, the shy and unconventional teacher, gives her. He is immediately interested in this talented young girl, who lacks all notion of discipline. Joaquin, the only person to offer hope in the midst of her rejection, finds that through Maroa, his world has also changed forever.

In one corner of the world, the imminent arrival of an asteroid shakes the foundations of reality. Life, once predictable and routine, transforms into a frenetic search for meaning and celebration. 'La Rumba de Fin de Mundo' immerses us in a chaotic and moving week, where a diverse group of people confront the finitude of existence.

In the shantytowns of Caracas, teenage Aixa finds herself unexpectedly pregnant and trapped between conflicting forces: her grandmother Carmen, young yet matriarchal head of the sprawling family clan, desperately tries to prevent Aixa from repeating the cycle of teenage motherhood that has plagued the women in her house for generations; meanwhile Ramon, the drug-linked young father, more obsessed with the idea of a child than with responsibility, resorts to threats—“If you get rid of the baby, I’ll kill you”—to impose his will. All around Aixa, others believe they know what’s best for her—but the choice of life or death, hope or despair, remains hers alone in a world where survival is the only certainty.

A hazardous encounter leads América and Juan Pedro to recognize in each other the unsuspicious emotion of the first love. Young and innocent identified with their artistic devotion -he is a composer, she a dancer- they overstep the bound of their shared feeling, joyful and without great fears. They never imagined that their openhearted and pure love could hide a stain: that of racial prejudice.
