After the death of former Brazilian president Juscelino Kubitschek in a car accident in August 1976, a journalist decides to investigate the case. The death of another former president, João Goulart, in December of the same year, heightens her suspicions of a conspiracy.

In downtown São Paulo, absolutely ravaged by crack cocaine, Helena, a young black vampire, wanders around a filthy café trying to captivate Marcos, a naive waiter. As she begins to discover his secrets and the ins and outs of the metropolis, the girl will go on to venture into a dangerous world of immortal intrigues that will challenge her own mortality.

A surveyor maps landslide risk areas in the city of Ubatuba, in a hillside region of the Atlantic Forest. Karen sings and plays the trumpet in a vigorous rock band in Brasilia, but no one there is interested in it. At 27, she has lost hope in the city her grandfather helped to build. She follows in the footsteps of her ex-partner in the band, Artur, and tries her luck in Berlin.

The passing of the years is merciless for everyone. In the film, seven seemingly ordinary characters lead their lives seeking, each one, what they believe brings personal satisfaction. But, even with different and distant lives, they come closer by the way they guide their existence based on worldly concerns.
