Danny, a respected cop, is setup after an investigation goes wrong. While laying low in his new jail cell, Danny is forced to get involved in the inmates underground cage fighting circuit. With the help of Irving, a former mixed martial arts champion, Danny devises a scheme to bring justice and innocence to his family's name, if he can get out of the cage alive.

UFC 83: Serra vs St-Pierre 2 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The event was held on April 19, 2008, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. UFC 83 was the UFC's first event in Canada. It was headlined by UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra and UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre in a match to unify the championship.

UFC 78: Validation was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), that took place on November 17, 2007 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Validation was the first UFC event held in New Jersey since June 4, 2005's UFC 53: Heavy Hitters in Atlantic City. The main event featured TUF 2 Heavyweight winner Rashad Evans against TUF 3 Light Heavyweight winner Michael Bisping in a light heavyweight contest.

WEC 29: Condit vs. Larson was a mixed martial arts event held by World Extreme Cagefighting. The event took place on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event aired live on the Versus Network. The main event featured the WEC Welterweight title fight between champion, Carlos Condit, and challenger, Brock Larson. The show also featured the U.S. debut of PRIDE veteran Paulo Filho as he fought Joe Doerksen for the vacant WEC Middleweight title.

UFC 58: USA vs Canada was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on March 4, 2006.Five of the seven Canadian fighters featured, Icho Larenas, Sam Stout, Mark Hominick, Georges St. Pierre, and David Loiseau, were at the time champions in the Canadian TKO Major League MMA promotion.
