Life seems pretty normal at the Forensics Division. Ippei's canine partner, Oliver, appears to him as a womanizing middle-aged drunk in a dog suit, but that's nothing new. However, when "Super Volunteer" Konishi vanishes, the investigation pulls them into a bizarre mystery. Joined by Supervisor Hagoromo, Ippei and Yukina follow Konishi's trail, Urushibara uncovers a family secret, and former handler Mizoguchi stumbles upon a takoyaki-infested town and a tiny fairy man. All while mysterious red doors keep appearing… Something is obviously deeply wrong. Can the team find Konishi and save him from unseen forces before chaos consumes them all?

While helping his family for packing, Takuto found a pair of mysterious opera glasses from a piled-up cardboard box which turns out to be his grandma’s relic. The magical opera glasses named ‘Gyoro’ suddenly came to life when Takuto touched it. Gyoro brings back happy memories to grandpa and mom of going to theaters with grandma. Sachiko is dumbfounded by her boyfriend's disappearance. The next day, Sachiko goes to work, but she can't stop thinking about Shungo. She realizes she is more traumatized than she thought. Sachiko decides to go to a restaurant. When her meal comes out, she forgets all about Shungo. Her experience makes her become a connoisseur of gourmet meals.
