Having established a solid acting career, he went on to play the seventh incarnation of the Doctor in long-running sci-fi TV series DOCTOR WHO from 1987 to 1989 - the final lead actor of the original 'Classic Series - briefly returning to pass the torch in the 1996 movie, documented in the video-diary film BIDDING ADIEU. Since then he has also portrayed key fantasy roles such as Radagast in The Hobbit series, and Igor in The Munsters (2022), the prequel film by Rob Zombie.
