Kitty's owner introduces her to a puppy who will befriend and Kitty realizes that when the puppy grows up he becomes Kitty's enemy because dogs hate cats and makes a chase in the yard at the end of the flashback of kitty for the puppy and kitty chases the puppy and the horse gets into the garbage can.

The fox and crow are sharing grapes while the crow reads a book about a similar fox and crow sharing grapes who eventually fought it out for the last one. What a coincidence... at that moment, there is only one grape left. Both try to pretend they don't want it but each secretly tries to make off with the last grape first. They try using a fishing rod only to hook each other. The crow sneaks across in a pair of underwear but is discovered by the fox. The crow tries sleepwalking but is again discovered. After feuding with each other through the phone, they attack each other and a free-for-all ensues. Finally, the crow decides this sparring isn't worth it and insists the fox can have the last grape. The fox, now equally courteous, offers it to the crow who doesn't want it. At this point, the feuding begins anew.

The cat and mouse are in their usual game of chase-and-pursue until the mouse hides in a pickled-herring barrel. The cat gets intoxicated from inhaling the fumes and immediately becomes the mouse's newest best friend. He defends the mouse from a mean alley cat, and the mouse invites him to come home with him. There, the mouse takes care of him and sobers him up, and the cat immediately begins to chase him again. He reaches the barrel again and regains his newest best friend. Charlie Chaplin deserves an (uncredited) story listing.

The Fox, once again, is plagued with a toothache, and once again is in search for a dentist to relieve his agony, and he, once again, finds Mr. Crow, pretending to be a dentist. This leads to no end of painful consequences for Mr. Fox.

Jivey Old Mother "Hubba-Hubba" Hubbard, formerly square Old Mother Hubbard, goes to her cupboard, and finds it bare as it was before she became hep. Her dog is most upset because his bone was there and is now missing. He forms a searching party, including some hip-and-hep cats, but the cupboard-raiding mouse of the house stays several notes ahead of them.

Out in the desert, a dopey wolf tries to catch an obnoxious rabbit.

A St. Bernard dog is dishonorably discharged from the Swiss Alps rescue corps when he samples his brandy and gets drunk. In an effort to make up for his disgrace, he sets out to rescue a skilled mountain climber who needs no help. Slapstick up and down the mountain ensues.

A bear, plagued with mice, lures a tiger cub (thinking it's a cat) to take care of the mice. The tiger scares the mice at first, but really has no interest in them, so the mice have fun with the bear, painting a glow-in-the-dark mouse on its bottom for the tiger to attack and leading the tiger on a house-wrecking chase with a steak. The tiger ends up hanging out and smoking cigars with the mice.

A crazy squirrel provokes a dog into trying to catch him throughout the picture.
