For decades, Gabriel García Márquez envisioned a novel titled La Casa (The House), inspired by the home in Aracataca where he lived with his grandparents. Fragments emerged, but it was only after living in another house —in Mexico City— that he was able to develop the work that became Cien años de soledad (One Hundred Years of Solitude), his magnum opus. In this documentary directed by Eva Villaseñor, the writer’s sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo García Barcha, return to their childhood home—a place where memory transforms time.

Janaína is a black screenwriter embarking on a new audiovisual project. She meets the rest of the team, where all of whom are white, on a farm. Pedro, the leader of the script room, disappears. Janaína investigates and makes unimaginable discoveries.

It is said that Nobel Prize winner Gabriel Garcia Marquez never allowed for a film adaptation of his singular masterpiece 'One Hundred Years of Solitude', arguably the most influential novel in any language of the second half of the twentieth century, to be produced. However, the prolific Colombian writer had strong ties to the movies.

Carlos cannot get credit from any bank. Unemployed, and with the current economic downturn, his situation is critical. Overwhelmed, Carlos will be forced to take extreme measures which will make his situation even worse.
