In Mexico City, Ricardo is a family man, pressed by responsibilities, when he finally lands a better job as creative director for an ad agency. Set ten years after the finale's quintuple wedding, the special portrays the happily reunited San Román family, including four new grandchildren, as well as the Xochimilco residents. The San Románs go to Patricia's lake cabin in order to celebrate their shared ten-year wedding anniversary, unaware that Demetrio, whom they believe died after escaping from prison a year prior, is actually alive and well and is conspiring with his grandson, Ángel and Alma's young son Angelito, and the San Román grandchildren's nanny, Diana, to kill the entire family.

Lucia, an children's book author, tells the story of her husband's disappearance. One day on their way to Brazil he just disappears. She goes to the police, gets a ransom note, and makes friends with the old dude downstairs and the young dude upstairs as she tries to find him. Things take a bit of a twist as she realized the kidnapping may not be as simple as it seems on the surface.

German is a successful advertising exec who is about to marry beautiful ex-model, Jacqueline. However, Jacqueline can't stand German's best friend, Alex - a college football coach - on account of his gross behavior and adolescent attitudes towards women. But an atmospheric disturbance switches bodies on Alex and Jacqueline. Now, together with German, Alex and Jacqueline have to find a way to return to their original bodies before time runs out and they're trapped in that switch forever.
