Vasthuhara (Malayalam: വാസ്തുഹാര English: The Dispossessed) is a Malayalam social film by the late G. Aravindan which looks into the lives of partition refugees from East Bengal to West Bengal.

A father does not hold a very good opinion about his son, Kannan, who works at his factory. Things take a turn for the worse when Pakkiri creates misunderstanding between the father and son duo.

Rajeshwari is the strict disciplinarian of the family that keeps everyone under her control – particularly her husband Rajasekhar. Her four sons live by her rules without question. When her second son marries, his new wife's younger sister Lakshmi comes to stay with the family. Lakshmi's carefree and easy going attitude endears her to the family but puts her at odds with Rajeshwari. Raja, the family's third son and Lakshmi also fall in love. One of Lakshmi's pranks pushes Rajeshwari to her limit and creates fissures in the family. A crisis eventually sets things in motion to solve all the problems.

An elderly woman who is rich lives alone in a town. However, her life changes for the better when her granddaughter comes to live with her.

Kunjoonjamma Thomas is a widow living in the village all by herself. People always make fun of her because she is grumpy and depressed due to the deaths of her husband and her only child. Initially, Kunjoonjamma does not like Girly, but they soon become close to each other.

Time is running out for Khushbu, Ravi Sharma(Sunil Dutt)'s daughter. Her leukemia can be cured only if someone's bone marrow matches her daughter so, he goes abroad and gets in touch with her former wife (Smita Patil).
