A honest and peace loving village man turns into a politician but his past haunts him till he seeks redemption by surrendering himself to law.

Amusing complications ensue when two jobless men pass themselves off as college professors in this entertaining yarn. Thrown into company with a pair of well-heeled sisters, one reserved and the other fiery the impostors soon win the ladies' hearts, and the couples each tie the knot. But when the truth comes out, will the men ever get back into their irate wives' good graces?

Kandasamy is desperate to enrol his son in a good school. Trouble ensues when his wife spots him with an educated woman who is posing as their child's mother in order to help him get admission.

Rasaiya and Rajeswari are tribal newly weds, out for a midnight stroll in the forest. Three drunk businessmen('Nizhalgal' Ravi, Thyagu, Ponnambalam) accost them and when Rajeswari refuses to succumb to their advances, they kill the couple. Rajeswari is them reborn as the child of a poor couple and once she remembers her past, starts taking her revenge. Once she has disposed off the first two, she finds out that the son of the third is a look-alike of Rasaiya. When Rasaiya ends up marrying the girl of his father's choice, Rajeswari attempts to prevent the consummation of their relationship and steal her husband back.

After the death of his sister, Periyakaruppu vows not to marry and raise his niece, Poomayil. When Poomayil grows up, she finds out about her uncle's sacrifices for her and decides to marry him.

Vijay (Arjun) is a hitman who works for Sundaramoorthy (Radha Ravi). He kills anybody for a price, other than women and children and he lives alone in an apartment. Pooja (Pooja), a young girl, studies in a boarding school and comes to her father's house for the holiday. Between her abusive father, selfish stepmother and an arrogant step-aunt, Pooja feels rather badly but she treasures her lovely little brother Dinesh (Mahanadi Dinesh). Pooja tries to befriend with Vijay but Vijay is not interested. Her father is a drug smuggler. One day, a corrupt police officer Jayanth (Raghuvaran) kills Pooja's family including her brother. Vijay decides to accommodate Pooja and Pooja compels him to teach her his skills as a hitman. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Vennila, the arrogant daughter of a wealthy businessman, gets married to Mani in order to inherit her grandfather's property. However, her life changes when she finds out that Mani is an ex-convict.

Kunju Gounder is a respected village chief, he seeks his missed son. Panju Gounder, worked as a servant in Kunju Gounder's house and married his sister. Now, Panju Gounder tries hard to be respected by the villagers. Raja and his friend are fraud. Raja attempts to make himself out to be Kunju Gounder's son and falls in love with Kunju Gounder's daughter Sinthamani. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Gopal causes much angst among his male neighbours as he is friendly with their spouses. They are relieved when he marries Usha. But Usha leaves him after learning that he was married once before.
