An account of the days of First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy, in the immediate aftermath of John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963.

At a French boarding school for troubled youth in the early 1970's, the Headmaster and his wife decide that their son Daniel, who is fifteen years old but looks younger, should finally go live in the dorm with all the other students, as they do not want it to seem Daniel is receiving any special treatment. Daniel is now faced with the challenge of earning the trust and respect of the other students, who all come from troubled backgrounds.

The story is about Zoltán Frimont, who is a young French doctor of Hungarian origin. He is on a mission in Romania with his wife, who is also a doctor, when he collapses unexpectedly, and finds himself at a psychiatric institution in Transylvania.

If he buys a gun, visits his wife's lover, and ends up savagely biting his dentist, Samuel Polaris is in bad shape. Very bad. Even if, to do this, he has to steal from his psychiatrist the watch that Kennedy was wearing the day he was assassinated.
