Two Boy Scouts find a buried female body in a desolate field. Irene Huss and her team begin to investigate the case. As the investigation continues, more graves are discovered, each containing a buried female body along with what appears to be a personal item. It is now clear that a horrific serial killer is rampaging in the area. The police are very puzzled and cannot find a connection between the victims other than that they are middle-aged women. At the same time, Irene begins to feel persecuted...

A bicycle messenger sees a girl being brutally assaulted and dragged into a van. She immediately calls the police, but unfortunately the girl is found too late. After an elder man gets hit by a stolen car, the police decides to investigate it. The stolen car is later found next to a murdered young girl, prompting Inspector Irene Huss and her co-workers to investigate and slowly get pulled into a world of evil.
