Mikhail is a former aircraft designer, and now just a grandfather who constantly gets into ridiculous situations. One day on December 31, she and her grandson Seryozha sheltered a dog who was hiding from New Year's fireworks. The dog was given the name Stepka. Soon after his grandson was taken away by his parents, Mikhail becomes ill. And now Stepka has very little time to call for help and save his master's life. But it is very difficult to do this, because none of the people knows the dog language. The only way out is to find Seryozha, who, as it seems to Stepka, understands him. And then the four-legged hero goes to the other side of the city to meet incredible adventures.

Director Yuri Eremin masterfully presents classics in a contemporary way, finding vital connections with the present while avoiding semantic and artistic overstatements. Dostoevsky's translation of the biblical story to Russian soil resonates more poignantly than ever before. The play, with its intense plot development, seamlessly intertwines profound philosophical and moral content with a maelstrom of destructive passions, centered on the protagonist, who unwittingly sparks a love rivalry between two extraordinary women. Staged at the Mossovet Theatre in Moscow.

Ivan and Valentina decide to celebrate New Year very modestly, without Christmas trees and festive delicacies, in the native village of Kuchugury. But, their city in-laws come — Yuri and Olga Kovalev with Zhenya, their granddaughter. And the celebrities who are going to corporate parties become stuck in the village because of heavy snowfall and drifts on the roads. A propaganda film about Major Roman Vetrov, a veteran of the Afghan war, cadre officer of special forces, trying to thwart the criminal plan of the international drug mafia. In an unequal battle with drug traffickers Vetrov experiences many blows of fate: his father dies, his favorite girl is married to a former friend. Major becomes a victim of intrigue, subtly played by criminals - by the court sentence he is innocently convicted and sent to prison. And only loyalty to the duty of honor, unbreakable will and courage help Major Vetrov to overcome all obstacles, defeat evil and regain his lost love.
