Abu Sami and his son represent two completely different mindsets. The father clings to everything old-fashioned, while the young man tries to live his life and open up, but he faces his father's rejection of all that. What will he do?

The film portrays the events surrounding the wedding of a young man in a popular alley in the Adhamiya neighborhood, and the ironic, laugh-out-loud comedic situations he encounters, as he is surprised by a series of incidents that grow more frequent and intense on the wedding day itself.

The first Iraqi film influenced by the Italian neorealism film movement, characterized by stories set amongst the poor and the working class. The plot revolves around a devoted husband deeply in love with his ailing wife, rushing her to the hospital in the late hours of the night. Seeking urgent medical attention, he pleads with the on-call doctor to treat her. However, faced with a negative response from the doctor, the husband, overcome with anger and desperation, unleashes a furious attack, tragically leading to the doctor's demise.

One of the earliest Iraqi films, the plot revolves around a young Iraqi man working as a writer who flees to Cairo after being accused of murdering his uncle. He stays with a friend and gets to know his friend's daughter, eventually falling in love with her. He requests to marry her, and his friend agrees to his proposal. The young man continues to write to newspapers using his friend's name. However, when the murderer of his uncle is apprehended, a young man from Iraq informs him about the developments in the case.
