In 2060, after decades of heat waves and water shortages, the government places the elderly in air-conditioned facilities intended to protect them from the heat, but where access to water becomes a means of control.

A trio of siblings faces turmoil when their parents reveal they've won the lottery but refuse to share a cent, unraveling buried secrets, unspoken tensions, and deep-seated jealousy that shake the family to its core.

Except for Amine and Kimmy, the young couple of neighbors she meets regularly, visitors are rare in Constance Brunel's antique store. Loneliness is also her life. One night, Amine, in a panic, seeks help at her house: Kimmy has fallen badly when she slipped and she has killed herself.
