Mariyam Nisha

Ginihila is a 2003 Maldivian horror film directed by Easa Shareef. The film is an unofficial remake of Vikram Bhatt's Indian horror film Raaz (2002).

Lahufa, a vulnerable woman, relocates to Male' to flee from an arranged marriage to an old man. She is welcomed with great hospitality by Shakeel, a heart patient, and his sibling-like-friend, Ziyad, who instantly falls in love with her. Nasma, a greedy woman, cancels her wedding and lures Saud, Shakeel's friend, in her trap. Lahufa misinterprets a phone conversation and agrees to marry Shakeel. A day after their wedding, Ziyad calls Lahufa and proposes her to marry him. Upon returning, he is devastated to discover Shakeel's situation and his marriage to Lahufa.

Ahmed Shifan confesses his love for his childhood friend, Zeyna who politely declines his proposal as she is already engaged. Heartbroken, Shifan leaves the country to focus on his studies abroad.
