Although Sevda is a successful actress, she feels that her life is not going well. She is both separated from her life partner and bored of acting in the same movies. During this time, she gives herself to drink to escape her life. However, a man she meets will make her feel excited about life again.

Dursun is an idealistic teacher. He has a happy family with his wife and son (Arkadaş). Despite being unemployed and penniless, he neither looks for work nor accepts any job. At the urging of his friends, he begins giving private lessons to a student. He starts to earn some money. The student's aunt, Sibel, is next in line for lessons, and she is attracted to Dursun, who reciprocates her feelings.
