A homeless refugee looks for a fresh start at a European multinational temp agency - but they have very different plans for him.

For Detective Inspector Alexander Bischoff, a functioning family is something he's never known. He grew up without parents and hasn't started a family of his own. Anna is a surgeon and, like her husband Gunnar, works at the hospital in a small town in the Mecklenburg Lake District. They have built a good life here with their son. Anna is torn out of her usual routine when a child suddenly suffers an allergic shock after a routine operation, which was triggered by an antibiotic that Anna had not been given. A medical mystery for Anna until she finds out that the clinic has a massive hygiene problem. The more unpleasant truths Anna uncovers, the more hostile she becomes. Anna is faced with decisions of conscience that could bring down everything she has built up so far.

The script was written by Stephan Ludwig, who wrote the novel as in the previous productions. Directed by the crime-experienced Andreas Herzog. In addition to the two proven chief commissioner actors Stephan Luca and Axel Ranisch play again u. a. Alice Dwyer the prosecutor Borck and Katharina Nesytowa Zorn's girlfriend Malina.

The evil cultists are after immortality and divine power, and are even prepared to sacrifice the friends' lives. Ben and his gang manage to escape. Chased from one danger to the next, the cultists pursue them, closing in on them more and more. The fanatics have it all planned out, it seems, leaving nothing to chance. They disable the cell phone networks and satellite connections, leaving the friends to fend for themselves...
