Eva and Sónia, orphans in their twenties, with very different backgrounds from each other, are in a romantic relationship held only by a van in which they live in and travel across the country.

Consumed by desperation, in an attempt to save the Woman and protect his Son, the Man goes looking for help and travels through the village where nothing is as it seems. While they understand the nonsense of the existence of a videoclub, at a time when the proliferation of the Internet facilitates access to the contents available there, the two main characters engage in a parallel business selling the herb, using the establishment like facade. The process passes without the knowledge of the owner of the video club, an individual at the end of middle age with a total disinterest for cinema.

A fiction within fiction, in which a television crew shoots a film about the poet and philosopher Anthero de Quental, from São Miguel, in a vision of his life and work staged and told through the fictionalized testimonies of those who knew him. The poet's life and death will be staged through the eyes of a group of traveling performers and the testimonies of some of the personalities who knew him best: Ramalho Ortigão, Eça de Queiroz, Oliveira Martins, Teófilo Braga, and his sister Ana Quental, whose sometimes contradictory points of view will attempt to unravel some of the enigmas that haunted Athero's tormented existence and the complete reasons that led him to the bench where, under the anchor of Hope, the poet described his life and committed suicide.

Burlesque history, which summons various references to cinematographic genres, much in vogue in the 50s and 60s, such as comedy, horror film, police, war film, among others. Two detectives and a special agent try to solve a difficult case, but in the end they are "swallowed" by the intrigue itself.
