He is best known for his work in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he is a former record eight-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion and a seven-time World Tag Team Champion. The Tenryu Genichiro Retirement 10th Anniversary Event: Revolutionary Soaring was a professional wrestling event promoted by Tenryu Project to mark ten years since Genichiro Tenryu’s retirement. It took place on November 4, 2025, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and featured talent from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, DDT Pro-Wrestling, and Dragongate. The event honored Tenryu’s legacy in All Japan, New Japan, and WAR, highlighting his influence on Japanese wrestling.

Keiji Muto Grand Final Pro-Wrestling "Last" Love was a professional wrestling event promoted by Pro Wrestling Noah. It took place on February 21, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan, at the Tokyo Dome. The event was themed around the final matches of Keiji Muto, who was defeated by NJPW's Tetsuya Naito in the semi-main event, and by Masahiro Chono in the main event match. After the main event, Chono announced his own retirement. All Together was a professional wrestling event organized together by Japan's three biggest promotions; All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Pro Wrestling Noah, in response to the March 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. The first event was held in Tokyo on August 27, 2011. All proceeds from the events were donated to Japanese Red Cross. The event featured no storylines or championship matches, instead it was booked as a "supercard", putting together combinations of wrestlers from the three promotions that fans would normally not see.
