Society-girl thrillseeker Lydia's fun comes to an end when she accidentally causes the death of motorcycle policeman.

Viola Baxter is deceived into a hasty marriage with her guardian, Marshall Welch, who is after her money and has framed her fiancé, Dick Fletcher, for theft. She discovers and exposes her husband's perfidy. Humiliated, Welch decides to take his wife's life along with his own, but she is saved by her Great Dane.

The story of a bad organ grinder, a life saver, a pretty girl and her baby sister. A dog takes an active part in the final rescue and helps save the child from the fleeing kidnapper.

Teddy and Peggy are discovered working on the farm, but they are soon fired and leave for the city. Here a rich uncle is expecting his niece.

The day starts off as any normal day on Roach's farm, where Teddy, the farmhouse dog, is doing more productive work than everyone else combined. But the day changes when Roach's farmhand sees an opportunity to be the knight in shining armor to Louise, Roach's daughter, who he wants to marry.

Unknown to her, Mary Manchester is a double for the ailing Mrs. Adelaide Rutherford, a wealthy woman who has been driven insane by her husband's cruelty. Rutherford is in league with Jasper Haig and Dr. Babcock. Together these men hold in trust sixty million dollars which upon Adelaide's death will revert to her brother Stanford Gorgas. Fearful of Adelaide's imminent death, the conspirators plan to substitute Mary in her place, thus preventing Gorgas from inheriting the money.

The dog catcher of the title is arrow-narrow Slim , and his "love" is pert Peggy. Alas, his rival is handsome bow-wow fancier E.R. Ketchum, whose luck with women borders on the fantastic.

Gloria Dawn lives down the hall from her sweetheart, Bobbie Knight. The dishonest Henry Black is Gloria's guardian, and he is also in charge of Bobbie's inheritance. The scheming guardian and his sister have been spending Bobbie's money, and they hope to have the sister marry Bobbie so that they can keep control over his money.
