Cyprus, 1882: Eleni, an outcast painter, tries to resurrect her dead children but instead unleashes mythical creatures upon her village. Only by becoming a good mother to a talented, but abused child can she reverse the curse.

Follows three interconnected stories in modern day Nicosia, Cyprus: a civil engineer is blamed for the collapse of a building; a teenage girl becomes involved in a dangerous sexual relationship; two radicalized Arab women plan out an Islamic terrorist attack.

Andy, a hard working Cypriot immigrant in London who deep-fries his way into oblivion, decides to leave London for his native Cyprus. Having slaved away for others his entire life, he finally opens his very own chip shop. But his dream turns into a nightmare, as he seems to have overlooked one small detail: Cyprus just isn't London!
