Morganna Love

Story of six interwoven narratives in Mexico City, exploring the human condition against intermittent rain. With each encounter, the characters experience a moment of absurdity, brightness, or strangeness that reveals their true selves.

Beaten and hardened by life in a Nigerian ghetto, Charity leaves for Europe to work as an illegal prostitute, in pursuit of her dream of becoming rich.

It is Easter in town and magic and mystery come to life as a commander makes inquiries about a man who has been found dead. His inquiries begin in a brothel where a singer who calls herself Soledad, who is hidden by Coral, the owner of the place, entertains. The singer seems to carry from birth the curse of the sirens: "Every man who falls in love with her will die" and unless she breaks it she must always run away, without escaping her own destiny.

Samantha, activist and octogenarian; Morgana, soprano in her 30s and Victory, influencer in her 20s. Three trans women from three different generations who have managed not only to belong but to stand out in society.

Four characters: Nancy, a sexologist and teacher; Roberto, a cabaret actor; Rubén, a singer and runner; and Daniela, an activist. All belonging to the LGBT+ community. Each one is in their daily struggle to get ahead and be happy with what they are passionate about doing, nothing stops them, despite the heteronormativity of a society that has not understood the only thing that makes them different is their way of loving.

Ophelia goes to El Oasis, a tavern where men pick up men, looking for her husband. Her suspicions confirmed, she faints and a transgender prostitute unexpectedly helps her.

Morgana is a Mexican transgender opera singer with a dream: a sex reassignment surgery. We follow her odyssey all the way to Bangkok as she fights for the identity she has been struggling all her life to construct.
